IMO Marines should always start off with the +2 strength over the +2 agility/endurance. Is System Shock 2 that way? Will I miss much by playing on "Normal" my first time? Would it be more fun (and plausible) to play on a higher difficulty? In Thief Gold, the maps change according to difficulty level in several cases, so that one has the "full" experience of the game only when playing on the highest difficulty.Which starting combinations seem especially disadvantageous or weak or unwise (or 'unusually challenging', depending on one's perspective)?.Which starting combinations seem most fruitful for someone who doesn't want to play OSA this time through (I'm saving that for my second trip), who is more Thief than Quaker, and who would hate to have to replay vast stretches of the game again on account of a major stat disadvantage?.Now, having given a bit, I'll go ahead and pose a few questions: It shows the various training possibilities, the various character traits and disciplines, and is neatly font-and-color-coded. Here's the zipped chart (13k zipfile download, instead of the 100k spreadsheet!) in MS Excel 97 format. My first question when I went through SS2's training (having seen no spoilers and being relatively - and happily - unaware of the details that await), was this: is there a chart that shows all 81 of the possible starting character configurations? Rather than search the bbs for one and possibly encounter spoilers, I decided to make one up and put it on offer for anyone who may find that sort of thing interesting or useful. Since newbies are always a needy crowd, I thought I'd go contrary to custom and provide something on my first time out.

I've been hanging around the TTLG Thief forums for a while now, but have only just purchased SS2 and thought I'd drop by here as well, and perhaps ask a few questions.
